These are pictures I took a few months ago on a visit to Timbertown in Wauchope on NSW Mid North Coast. I was so impressed by this display, and learned a lot about bullock teams and yokes and burdens. So many spiritual lessons one could apply to it!!
I have a lot I’d like to say, so please watch this space….

You’re right — there are great spiritual lessons in this kind of teamwork. I actually know more about draft horses, but it’s the same thing. I’ve always thought it was a great illustration of the idea of “where two or more are gathered in my name…,” because one draft horse can pull about 2,000 lb, but two draft horses pulling together can pull 9,000 lb. or more. But they have to pull together. (And it’s amazing to see how excited they get when hitched to a load in a pulling contest — they want to pull that load — would that we were that excited about prayer.) I believe it’s the main reason Jesus prayed that we’d be united — imagine what could happen if all believers were pulling in the same direction!
