Supplying Seed for the Sower!!

That is one main thing I envisage for this blog.

So, for my part, I’d like to share lots of FREE or inexpensive resources with the Body of Christ.

To start off, I’ve started posts with images with a Biblical theme, i.e, sheep/shepherds/pasture and yokes/oxen/burdens. Please feel free to download the images from the slideshow to use for your ministry purposes.

  • Just click on “View all images” under the slideshow, and
  • then in Slide, click on the image you want and
  • then in the new window, click on “View full size”.
  • You can then download the image or use it on a website, by right-clicking and selecting from the drop-down menu.

Other things I want to include here in the near future are ready-to-print handout cards (10 or 16 to a page in a pdf format). Just download, print, laminate (if you want), and cut. So keep an eye out for them.

And I’d like provide some printable tracts and bookmarks with Bible study aids.

Also, available FOR SALE, are high resolution images to download, and greeting cards and prints. We will have an online shop where you can buy them from, but until then, just let us know if there is an image you are interested in. Email me, Jeanette, at jeanettes.ozpix[at]gmail.com.

Happy planting and may the Lord bring the increase!!

Teamwork!

These are pictures I took a few months ago on a visit to Timbertown in Wauchope on NSW Mid North Coast.  I was so impressed by this display, and learned a lot about bullock teams and yokes and burdens.  So many spiritual lessons one could apply to it!!

I have a lot I’d like to say, so please watch this space….

We are the Sheep of His Pasture!

At last, I’ve managed to get some sheep pics. I’ve been meaning to for ages. So as it happened, yesterday I had to take a drive in the countryside.

As I drove into this tiny village, I remembered one small farm that had nearly every farm animal you could think of. I’d seen camels and donkeys there before, and that was what I was really interested in. But seeing I couldn’t see any of those, I had to settle for the sheep and cow, and a horse or two in the background.

Where I live, we have mostly cattle, so sheep are a special treat for us. So I am very pleased, even though I missed out on the camels. They’ll have to wait another day.

And for now, some inspiration from the Bible….

Psalm 28:9, NKJ
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.

Psalm 95:6-8, NKJ
Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.
Today, if you will hear His voice:
“Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion,
As in the day of trial in the wilderness.”

Psalm 100:3, NKJ
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Psalm 107:41-42, NLT
(The Lord) rescues the poor from their distress
and increases their families like vast flocks of sheep.
The godly will see these things and be glad,
while the wicked are stricken silent.

Isaiah 40:10-11, NLT
Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in all his glorious power. He will rule with awesome strength. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes. He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.

Isaiah 53:6, NLT
All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all.

1 Peter 2:25, NLT
Once you were wandering like lost sheep. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.

Matthew 9:36, NLT
He felt great pity for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn’t know where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd.

Matthew 18:12-13, NLT
If a shepherd has one hundred sheep, and one wanders away and is lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others and go out into the hills to search for the lost one? And if he finds it, he will surely rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away!

1 Peter 5:2-4
Care for the flock of God entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your good example. And when the head Shepherd comes, your reward will be a never-ending share in his glory and honor.

Hebrews 13:21b, NLT
Jesus is the great Shepherd of the sheep by an everlasting covenant, signed with his blood. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 7:16-17, NLT
They will never again be hungry or thirsty, and they will be fully protected from the scorching noontime heat. For the Lamb who stands in front of the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to the springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe away all their tears.”
